It depends on what the job involves. Hanging a TV on a wall bracket is not electrical work, but anything that touches mains power is, and in Queensland that must be done by a licensed electrician.
If you are not sure which side of the line your job falls on, check with Queensland's Electrical Safety Office or ask a licensed electrician before work starts.
Unlicensed electrical work is illegal in Queensland, can void your home insurance, and can be dangerous. A licensed electrician also issues the compliance paperwork if new or moved power points are installed.
For Brisbane homes, our TV wall mounting is $275: the bracket, mounting and hidden cables, any TV size, done by a licensed electrician. Recessed power and HDMI finishes, and full feature walls, are quoted separately.
Not to hang a TV on a bracket. You do need a licensed electrician to add or move a power point, or to run power cable inside the wall.

Yes. We conceal the cables so there is nothing hanging below the TV, and we can add a recessed power point and HDMI behind the screen if you want a cleaner finish.
